Right from the start, before any cutscene or gameplay begins, you’re given the option to turn on subtitles. Unfortunately on or off is the only option you’re given here. No resizing. Rockstar took a one size fits all approach when nearly every other game released recently at least includes a couple size options. The subtitles are fine.
Really enjoy the sounds in game without the background music chiming in every once in awhile. Makes you feel like you’re actually there. Try it if you haven’t. Turn off the background music and crank up the volume. Go for a ride through the forest. Take a walk in the rain. It’s pretty wicked.
The best thing to do is to turn on the subtitles with speakername, so it's easier to learn all the names, because your gang consists out of more than 20 gang members and I got confused at first. Without knowing the speakernames it took me until chapter 3 or 4 to learn all the names.
